Nollywood filmmaker Kemi Adetiba has thrilled fans by announcing that “King of Boys 3” is set to premiere on December 25, 2025.

The upcoming film, subtitled “The Beginning of the End,” will introduce new characters while retaining familiar faces from the series. Unlike its predecessor, which was a Netflix series, this installment is slated for a theatrical release.
The “King of Boys” franchise centers on Alhaja Eniola Salami, portrayed by Sola Sobowale, a formidable businesswoman and philanthropist who becomes embroiled in a high-stakes power struggle. The original film debuted in 2018, captivating audiences with its gripping narrative and stellar performances. Its sequel, “King of Boys: The Return of the King,” premiered on Netflix in 2021.
Addition to “King of Boys 3,” Adetiba has been working on other projects, including “To Kill A Monkey” and “Welcome to the Fourth.” “To Kill A Monkey” is a crime thriller set to premiere on Netflix in 2024.
Adetiba’s career has been marked by versatility and innovation. She began as a radio presenter with Rhythm 93.7 FM, hosting popular shows like “Soul’d Out” and “Sunday at the Seaside.” Transitioning to television, she produced and hosted shows such as “Studio 53” and “Temptation Nigeria.” Her directorial debut, “The Wedding Party,” premiered in 2016 and was the opening film of the City-to-City Spotlight at the Toronto International Film Festival.
