Akwa Ibom Governor Umo Eno Dissolves State Executive Council
Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom has officially dissolved the State Executive Council, according to a statement released by the government. The announcement was made by Eno bong Uwah, the Secretary to the State Government, on Friday in Uyo, stating that the dissolution is effective immediately.
This statement instructed former commissioners and special advisers to hand over their responsibilities to the permanent secretaries in their respective ministries. In cases where a ministry does not have a permanent secretary, the handover should be conducted with the most senior director in that ministry.
He expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the outgoing members of the executive council for their dedicated service to the state, wishing them success in their future endeavors. “We appreciate their contributions to the development of Akwa Ibom,” the statement noted.
It’s important to mention that Governor Eno inherited the members of the executive council from his predecessor, Udom Emmanuel, approximately 19 months ago.
