President Tinubu Congratulates Senator John Azuta-Mbata on Election as Ohanaeze Ndigbo President General
On Friday, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu extended his congratulations to Senator John Azuta-Mbata following his election as the President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide. Azuta-Mbata, who previously served as a senator representing Rivers East from 1999 to 2007, was elected during a meeting held in Enugu.
In a statement released by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President’s spokesperson, President Tinubu praised the successful leadership transition within the prominent Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organization. He urged the new leadership to uphold the principles established by their predecessors.
“The President recognizes the vital role that socio-cultural organizations play in nation-building and is committed to fostering dialogue among Nigeria’s diverse ethnic nationalities,” the statement read.
