The Oyo State High Court in Ibadan has granted bail to three individuals implicated in the tragic Ibadan stampede that claimed the lives of 35 children. Those granted bail include former Queen Naomi Sikekunola, Alhaji Oriyomi Hamzat, the owner of a local broadcasting station (Agidigbo), and Abdulahib Fasasi, the Principal of Islamic High School, Basorun.

Justice K. B. Olawoyin presided over the bail hearing and approved their release under stringent conditions. Each of the accused was granted bail with a bond of ₦10 million and two sureties in like amounts.

The defense counsel had filed the bail application, arguing for the release of the suspects while the case proceeds in court. The tragic stampede has sparked significant public attention, with calls for accountability and justice for the victims.

Further developments in the case are expected as investigations and legal proceedings continue.
