Fire Engulfs Popular Focus Holiday Inn in Abuja: Guests Evacuated Safely
A serious fire broke out early this morning at Focus Holiday Inn, a well-known hotel in the Garki area of Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city.
The incident occurred at approximately 3 a.m., as confirmed by a hotel staff member. According to the employee, chaos ensued when a guest rushed to the reception, unclad, to alert the staff about the growing fire.
The blaze reportedly started in one section of the three-story building before spreading to other parts of the structure, causing panic among both guests and employees. Despite repeated calls to the fire service, there was a significant delay in their response. Fortunately, by the time of this report, firefighters were on the scene working to contain the situation.
