Position Overview: Driver
We are currently seeking a dedicated Driver to join our team in Abuja. Under the supervision of the Logistics Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of personnel and materials. Your responsibilities will include adhering to driving regulations, maintaining the vehicle, and assisting the logistics team with various tasks.
Main Responsibilities
- Driving and Safety:
- Ensure the safety of passengers and the secure transport of materials and equipment.
- Follow Médecins du Monde driving regulations and the Nigerian traffic code, including respecting speed limits.
- Maintain a valid driving license and keep all necessary vehicle documents updated.
- Vehicle Maintenance:
- Conduct regular checks on the vehicle, including oil levels, brakes, tire pressure, and cleanliness.
- Report any technical issues or maintenance needs to your supervisor and assist in organizing necessary repairs.
- Refuel the vehicle when it reaches half tank capacity.
- Additional Duties:
- Perform minor purchases as directed by the logistics officer.
- Maintain a logbook of kilometers driven and fuel consumption.
- Support manual tasks such as loading and unloading the vehicle.
- Participate in team meetings and communicate any logistics-related issues.
- Uphold confidentiality for all work-related information.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma (SSCE)
- Experience: At least 1 year in a similar driving role
- Knowledge: Familiarity with the Katsina area and surroundings is a plus
